​BSM Summer Music Study Scholarship

New in 2019, the Blakemore School of Music is proud to offer a scholarship to current BSM highschool students who plan to pursue music study at a music festival or camp.  We believe that attending one of these programs provides students with an amazing opportunity to learn and grow to become a better artist and musician.  

Eligibility

Students must:
  • ​Be between the ages of 14-18
  • Have studied with a BSM teacher for at least 12 months
  • Show motivation and enthusiasm towards music study
  • Be accepted by at least one music program/festival/camp
  • If awarded the BSM scholarship, student agrees to write a brief reflection paper following the Summer Music Study experience

1) Students can apply to any Summer Music Program they choose as long as it is a recognized organization or hosted by a university or school.  Please get your programs approved by BSM prior to submitting your scholarship application.

2) BSM reserves the right to withhold awards if requirements are not met.
  
3) The amount of the award may vary from year to year based on number of applicants, funds available, and merit.

4) Deadline to apply will be May 15.

5) Awards will be presented at the Spring Recital
