Fall 2022: modern era Music Part I
BSM Students can now submit their listening reflections online via the form below. Simply click on the selections above to access the YouTube links and enjoy listening. Younger students can submit a few sentences about their impressions, thoughts, and anything they heard that they liked (or disliked!). Older students should submit a more detailed paragraph utilizing their "critical listening" skills in addition to their impressions of the piece. Include information about the composer - what do you know? What makes this piece significant? What is inherently "romantic" about this piece? What romantic characteristics, sensibilities, forms or techniques are used? We hope that this activity is an enriching experience for everyone!
BSM listening list fall 2022BSM students are encouraged to listen to the following selections over the Spring Semester. Students can listen while doing regular daily activities, while in the car, etc. Students should choose 1 selection a week to listen to a few times to build some recognition prior to submitting the listening reflection. Younger students are welcome to write their reflection in their assignment book if that is easier.
